Patient of the Month

Meet Alice, a 11.5 year old Goldendoodle

Meet our patient of the month, Alice. She is a loyal and loving companion to her owner and enjoys an active, social lifestyle of meeting new people and dogs on her daily adventures around Traverse City. When we met Alice last fall, she had a partially torn cruciate ligament in her knee, which she wore a fitted brace for, and osteoarthritis of several joints that were being managed with daily exercises, supplements and medications. Despite these interventions, Alice still exhibited a lameness and showed signs of discomfort. At BARC, we modified her therapeutic exercises and treated her with a combination of hydrotherapy, laser, and acupuncture to help strengthen her hind limbs, decrease pain, and improve range of motion. Alice now walks around without a limp and without her brace! She continues to be one of our favorite patients here at BARC with her cheerful, sweet and determined attitude. Keep up the great work, way to go Alice!

What Our Clients Say

Ginger with Border Collie, Libby

"We can’t thank Dr. Jen enough for all she did for our Libby. At the beginning of the summer of 2022, Libby came to Dr. Jen not feeling well at 16 years old. Dr. Jen took her time and thoughtfully treated Libby to cure her infection and began acupuncture and laser therapy. By the end of the summer, Libby was doing tremendously well and we are happy to report is still very much enjoying her life at almost 17 years old. Thankfully, this is because of the skills, dedication, and care that both Libby and we received from Dr. Jen. We can not thank her enough for her love and support of our girl."
