In-Home Euthanasia
“How will I know when it’s time?” Let me shed light on this difficult discussion. Knowing when it’s time for our pets to cross that rainbow bridge is not simple or clear cut as we would like it to be.

Yes, there are pets that pass peacefully and naturally on their own, however, just as in people, this is rare. The first step to making that all important decision is to know that animals do not anticipate death, but they do anticipate pain and suffering.

This is why, we as veterinarians, have developed quality of life scales, to help families reach an educated and informed decision based on personalized pet and family information. Dr. Jenn will review these various resources with families who are looking for more guidance.

Pricing is based on size of your pet and what you decide for body care. All euthanasia fees include travel time, home visit, sedation, euthanasia, and transportation of your pet. After your beloved one has passed over the rainbow bridge, there are three options for the after-care.
In-Home Euthanasia $450
You may either transport your pet to a crematorium or provide a home burial.
Communal Cremation $100
We will respectfully transport your pet to a crematorium (see cremation for more information) where your pet's ashes will be spread at a pet cemetery on-site.
Private Cremation $250
We will respectfully transport your pet to a crematorium (see cremation for more information) where they will perform a private cremation and their ashes will be returned to you. A paw print and urn is included in every private cremation.
We work with Trusted Journey crematorium in Traverse City to provide aftercare for your beloved pet.
Additional fees apply to pets over 50 lbs. or if outside of service area. Please call for an estimate.
